This course is for people currently working as a nanny or considering becoming one, who want to learn how to provide quality care during the foundational years of birth to two, establish early relational health, and support a baby’s innate sense of competence. You will also discover how the Educaring Approach can help you gain skills that support your role in the family environment.
This 12 hour online course, offers knowledge and practical suggestions that can help make this work easier and more enjoyable and is instructed by ITANA Board Member and RIE® Associate, Nellie Hodda.
Topics include:
Nappy changing, dressing, and feeding with respect
Creating safe places for play and learning
The caregiver’s role during play
Setting appropriate limits
Establishing a healthy sleep routine
Supporting secure relationships
Enhancing employee-employer relations
